Feeding Families: Community Table Project

Seed to Table’s Feeding Families: Community Table Project strives to ensure people of all races, ages, sexual orientations, genders, abilities, geographies, and socioeconomic statuses have access to fresh, locally grown produce. It is a community-based model, providing six needed and identified community-based access points to connect low-income families with access to fresh produce weekly in ways that support their dignity, self-respect, and preferences. This access is intended to decrease barriers, including cost, transportation, and safe pickup, and to build a sense of community among program participants. The project has implemented a sliding scale payment model for the farm’s Produce Share, which allows participants to self-select their payment level, and accepts SNAP/EBT and Double Up Food Bucks for both the Produce Share and at Sisters Farmers Market. We continue to work with community partners to provide weekly vegetables and Fresh Harvest Kits to families in Central Oregon.
